Celebrate

Summary: Celebrate will support new and existing events and activities that mark the 2014 Commonwealth Games through arts, heritage, sports and local community celebrations. It will fund local celebration events and activities which stimulate greater involvement in community activity and develop our understanding as citizens of the Commonwealth. Celebrations can be a single one-off event or activities which end with a celebration event.

Summary: The Clothworkers Foundation awards capital grants to UK registered charities with an annual income of less than £15m. It aims to improve the lives of people and communities, particularly those that face disadvantage, by funding a range of capital projects. They run two grant programmes concurrently. The Mains Grant Programme has no maximum project cost and a decision on the application within six months. The Small Grants Programme is for registered charities with a turnover of less the £250,000 and a maximum project cost of £100,000 and a decision in eight weeks. Summary: Comic Relief aim to bring positive and lasting change in the lives of poor and disadvantaged people,through investing in work that addresses people’s immediate needs as well as tackling the root causes of poverty and injustice. Gardening for Disabled Trust

Summary: The Gardening for Disabled Trust offers grants to UK individuals to help them continue to garden, despite disability or advancing illness. Open to individuals of all ages - it is their love of gardening that counts! Funding Title: Regional Grants Programme - Scotland

Award Amount: Most awards are up to £1,000 - occassion grants up to £2,000.

Summary: This grants programme offers funding to small charitable organisations that work in local communities where there is a Greggs shop, office or bakery. Priority is given to projects that tackle social deprivation in particular those that benefit voluntary carers, people with disabilities, older people and homeless people.

Heroes Return - Big Lottery

Summary: Heroes Return provides Lottery funding to help World War II veterans that saw active service (resident in the UK or the Republic of Ireland) to take part in commemorative visits within the UK and overseas to mark the anniversary of events that led to the end of WWII. Summary: The Screwfix Foundation is a charity set up by trade retailers Screwfix. Support and Connect - Big Lottery Fund Scotland

Summary: The Support and Connect Fund aims to help tackle poverty by improving local support for people experiencing hardship in Scottish communities. This might include funding welfare and rights advice, financial services, food and fuel poverty activities as well as projects providing clothing, starter packs and household goods. Revenue costs as well as some capital costs (less than £50,000) are eligible for consideration. Part of the Big Lottery Investing in Communities portfolio, the Support and Connect fund will run until 2015 and is open to both voluntary and public sector organisations.
