Reshaping Care for Older People: Capacity Building Programme
What is the Reshaping Care for Older People programme? The Reshaping Care for Older People programme aims to ensure that older people in Scotland are valued as an asset, their voice is heard and they are supported to enjoy full and positive lives in their own home or in a homely setting. The voluntary sector has been involved in the Reshaping Care programme in Dundee in several ways, primarily through the Capacity Building programme (programme 10). The main aim of the Capacity Building project is to build the capacity of communities to deliver services which maintain people in their own home in response to identified community need. In the first year of the fund (2011/12) £168,000 was secured for the voluntary sector to test new ways of working and we anticipate a similar amount will be allocated for 2012/13. To find out more about the Reshaping Care for Older People programme check out our briefing sheet. To read the Change Plan for Dundee 2012/13 click here.
