This is an exciting and unique opportunity to support how we will develop and deliver a locality based, community focussed Integrated Children’s Services approach within the context of Early Years provision which will be based in the Lochee Ward area.

You will have responsibility for the implementation of the Lochee Early Years Partnership approach and change activities

You will ensure the effective participation of parents, their families and the communities in which they live, ensuring the best possible start in life with a positive future for children in their earliest years.

You will promote community engagement and develop and imbed a capacity building approach within agencies and neighbourhoods in the Lochee Ward and subsequently roll out across the city.

The work is firmly rooted in Dundee’s Parenting Strategy and Integrated Children's Services and linked to the Scottish Government Early Years Framework and Early Years Collaborative.

You will have an enthusiastic and positive approach and be experienced in partnership working with excellent communication and networking skills. You will be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. You will be able to take a flexible and problem solving approach as well as have the ability to work as part of a team and manage others.

You will have a Degree, or Post Graduate qualification in, Community Education, Health, Education, Social Work or other equivalent qualifications and you will have a working knowledge of key legislation and policies that apply to Children Services

This is a fixed term post for two years and secondments will be considered, please have prior approval from your Line Manager before applying on a secondment basis.
 
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering a transformational change programme across early years services within the context of Dundee's Integrated Children's Services and the Scottish Government Early Years Framework

Learning Coordinator

Role:

We seek a part-time (28 hours per week) Learning Coordinator to market and deliver Lead’s project in the Dundee area.  You will be responsible for providing educational guidance and support with learning to disabled adults and carers, and for recruiting and supporting a network of volunteers.   

You must be enthusiastic, have a flexible and creative approach to problem-solving, be computer literate, an effective networker, self-starter and proven team player.  Experience of training volunteers and supporting adult learners would be an advantage, as would a track record of experience in community development or adult guidance.

Claverhouse Training - Funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund

Claverhouse Training is dedicated to providing high quality support, guidance and advice to unemployed adults. We have secured 3 years funding through Big Lottery to enable us to work with Lone Parents within their communities providing an intensive, long-term, one-to-one programme of support.

We are seeking applications from highly motivated individuals who have a natural affinity for supporting vulnerable adults. Applicants must have excellent communication skills, the ability to develop relationships with individuals who may be socially disengaged, and previous experience of delivering support of this kind.

We are looking to fill the following posts:

Programme Coordinator – Salary: £23,884 (35 hours per week)
The Programme Coordinator will require significant levels of relevant experience in coordinating programmes of this kind, excellent skills in providing a holistic programme of support, excellent networking and partnership skills and proven experience of driving programmes forward to ensure a quality service.


Support & Training Adviser x 2 – Salary: £20,604 (35 hours per week)
The Support & Training Adviser will require high levels of relevant experience in delivering programmes of this kind, excellent skills in providing support to vulnerable adults, and proven experience of working within the community (drivers with own transport preferred).


Programme Administrator (Part Time) – Salary: £14,816 pro rata (16 hours per week)
The Programme Administrator will require proven levels of administration skills, IT skills, communication skills and work history in an administration environment.
